Sort of Update?

Well, I have been back a little over a week now. I think perhaps I'll finally update iweb and maybe even...gasp!...unpack! To sum up last week let me tell you where I was...

Monday 9/11 - Echegawa City, final day, day off. I walked around, last minute shopping at the "mall" there. Stayed up watching the final Harry Potter.

Tuesday 9/12 - traveled by train, bullet train, bus to Nagoya with Amy, Kaori (our interpreter) and ALL our bags! we looked hilareous running through the train station with our luggage. School girls caught my eye and laughed!! And at every staircase somebody picked up my bags and carried them up...wow, how nice. People are really nice in Japan, with no ulterior motive.

Wednesday 9/13 - after spending the night in Nagoya and exploring on my own the night before I made my way to the Chubu Centrair airport to fly to Tokyo then to LA. I got the ninja star for my brother on the plane but the following items were confiscated at the gate - mascara, lipgloss, moisturizer, concealer! funny huh?

Wednesday 9/13 - that's right, round two of Wedesday, I arrived in LA at 9:45am. Kim picked me up at the airport and dropped me off at home. I got to go out dinner with CATE!! Newport Beach!

Thursday 9/14 - spent the morning in Huntington, the afternoon in Laguna :)

Friday 9/15 - I don't remember that morning much..hmmmm. but I know I decided to drive to Hume Lake to visit Melanie around 10pm

Saturday 9/16 - left for Hume at 2:15am arrived in the mountains around 9! spent Saturday and Sunday morning in the glorious mountains with Melanie, hiking or whatever and catching up

Sunday 9/17 - left Hume and passed the pyramid lake in all it's purple pink glory around 7pm. It was breathtakingly beautiful. I had tears in my eyes as I remembered all the different forms of beauty I had seen in the last week.

Monday landed me back in my admin chair at GLP with a warm welcome from everyone. I truly am a blessed girl.

So, can I mail Mel's CD to you and know that it will arrive safely and she will get it eventually?

I read the rant before it got purged. Sometimes you just have to get it out in one big "why me" sob. My hearing is being pushed a few weeks so travel plans are changing.
