New Year New Life

This has been the cry of Melanie and I. Living in our cramped disorganized apartment drives us nuts but we have done it. That is not how we imagined we'd be in our exciting "early twenties". Two best friends living together..this should be cute, quaint, well decorated (I'm not saying expensive, I'm saying cohesive theme...and say, you can see the floor..). Neither of us want to be slobs or dorm room freaks..which is how we feel now.

Soooo, we bought loft beds, curtains for once, new matching bedspreads and we are siphoning out the unnessaries of our closets and such. New year, new living space. Not a resolution mind you. Just a change in priority. We are also making our friendship more of priority and the wellbeing of each other. It seems apalling how easy it is to live with someone and not spend time with them. argh.

Some little known facts:

1. Brendon's parents gave me an airfilter for Christmas. In the short amount of time I have run it in the house I felt so much better, my cat allergies being alleviated quite a bit. I actually have a lot of allergies, not just the cats but dust and pretty much everything else you could think of!

2. Locks will shortly be installed on the windows because someone went through my laundry in the complex laundry room and stole...JUST MY UNDERWEAR. Ew. and not just one random load, the items in my dark and light load were gone..nothing else missing. My shirts, jeans, socks are still there though I shudder to think that someone else rooted through them to get MY unmentionables. Needless to say, I am sufficiently freaked out. Melanie has already had a few scares at our apartment too. But we don't really have the funding to move elsewhere so...keep us in your prayers.

3. I don't know what else but I'm stoked to be spending more time with Mel. I'll tell you that. And I'm scared of rolling of my loft bed. That too....

regarding point 3, just make sure you don't have any bizarre dreams that involve diving or rolling. Then you'll be fine ;)
