Back in the saddle....
I didn't realize it but I'd taken a considerable break in auditioning. I don't count auditioning for the Persian company b/c it was like an interview, one on one thing...it's not the same suffice it to say.
Yesterday kicked off my audition grand tour. And in usual Crista style I almost didn't go b/c I wasn't "prepared". I have to learn that I'm never going to be fully prepared, I might as well get out there and work it. So amidst half-assed triathalon preperation and full time work and other things, here is my audition schedule:
1. Saddleback Civic Light Opera - Smokey Joes Cafe and Footloose 4/18 (done, pretty sure I didn't make it but had fun and I got a lot of unsolicited compliments on my voice)
2. Big League Theaters - Aida (National Tour) - 4/20
3. Universal Studios - Atmosphere Dancers - 4/29
4. Hong Kong Disney - Belle (vocal) - 5/6 (kind of a stretching audition for me, good practice)
5. Music Theater West - Anything Goes - 5/7
6. Knotts Berry Farm - Calico Country Jubilee 5/12 - I was invited back to audition! That's always a good sign...
and when I hear about others, I will make myself go to those too. I can't wait until I have the perfect body, a lot of money, new headshots, a great voice...I gotta go with what I have now.
one audition I am not doing...Stiletto. I am not auditioning for the cruise ship 4/30/06. They changed casting directors, so I have a better shot...but...I prayed about it and I feel certain it's not where I'm supposed be on April 30th. So that's that.
