My Favorite Things!

Here are a few of my items du jor (or rather items of the week):

1. Vaseline Intensive Care Firming & Radiance lotion.
I never use lotion b/c it is a big hassle...you're gooey way too long and I hate that feeling. But I want my skin to be smooth and I have started to be occupied with age-prevention stuff, especially on my face. I realize that the skin on your body ages at pretty much the same rate however. So this lotion, I picked up on a whim and it is so great. Not gooey, it absorbs quickly and my skin felt really, noticeably different immediately. and two days later my skin feels really soft.

2. Coldplay X&Y.
I know that the album came out a while ago and I was quick to purchase it. I have appreciated it more this week than ever as I really enjoy listening to it at work, it just plays continuously for 3 hours while I plug away.

3. Marshmallows
Brendon and I went to the beach last night and roasted marshmallows. They are delicious! We agreed that the roasted mallow by itself is far better than a full out smore.

4. The Shins.
I like them okay. I like the song that is playing KROQ by them. "Gold teeth are the curse of this town...." does it get any better?

5. "The Art of Loving" by Erich Fromm.
Brendon is lending me this library book. It is pretty good, it details the different kinds of love recieved and given from each parent, self-love, love of God, romantic love...etc. and breaks it down for understanding. It was published in 1956 so some of the terminology is retro, but that adds I think.

6. Skirts and Cargos.
I am usually a jeans girl all around with the occasional detour into cargos (there is only a small percentage of other "bottoms" that I try according to trends) depending on my mood. But with the hot weather and performing at Knotts (think, 1.5 hours between shows where I am wearing tights and hiding from the sun) my skirts and lightweight cargos have gotten extra play.

7. Baked Tofu.
From Trader Joes, it is a hunk of tofu, teriyaki flavor. It is so delicious and the consistency is very firm and sliceable. I have put it in salads or heating a peice of it with steamed zuccini on the side for dinner. mmmmm...

8. Cheap trend sunglasses.
From target, I bought these $10 sunglasses that are a bit hip and much larger than I expected myself to wear. Not only are they cute with my skirts and cargos but their largesse has protected my eyes quite nicely. and when I sit on them and break them as I have done with all previous sunglasses, I am only out ten bucks :)

9. Bottled water.
I am a hick when it comes to water, I drink tap routinely. But lately I've found that I drink more water and therefore am more hydrated, if it is conveniently bottled and refrigerated for me...wow I sound OCized! Oh well, I still drink tap!
and lastly,

10. Bloglines.com.
I have come to appreciate and rely on this aggregator. Mucho helpful and something I would never have imagined I would have used...but hey, I would never imagined I would be a blogger!
