Thought provoking conversation...

A friend emailed me:

"You said your brother was "one of the most beautiful men you know." I would say he is beautiful to you even if he does not feel like it. In fact I am sure he doesn't feel like it. But still you call him beautiful.

Isn't it possible that someone says the same thing about you for the same reasons? It has nothing to do with feeling beautiful. It has everything to do with being loved.

Since you are that beautiful, is it possible to forget about how you feel about yourself and focus on the fact that someone doesn't care about all your mistakes. They don't care that you feel fat or ugly or not good enough or all the other things you are hung up about. You are so loved you become beautiful."

Can you ask yourself that question?

That is interesting. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some like steak, others like hamburger. Some like skinny people others find beauty in fat people. Ugly and beautiful is a only a matter of our taste. And what someone tells us is beautiful. Such as if a friend and I was walking down the street and says, "Hey, check out that chick, she's hot."
I would agree as would most under the same circumstances.
Take care of yourself.

Cate, I think often you and I struggle with the same thoughts. It is hard to believe it about yourself. But that comment made me think of the people I think are BEAUTIFUL....

Stronger..thank you :) It takes one to know one...

Melanie, so...would you say we are burgers, or steaks ;)
