Crash into me....

The Dave Matthews Band.  I have not always liked the band.  I don't listen to them now.  They were larger than life when I was in junior high and I didn't pay attention, I was not really into music like most jr highers.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVED music, I just didn't retain names, bands, lyrics...ect.  In highschool he was the "coolest" and I still didn't really like the music.  I remember the song that started my short lived love of the Dave Matthews Band and it's probably not one of thier best.  Crush.  I loved it.  It wasn't really applicable to my life at that time, but I loved the smoothness of his voice and the little bits of syncopation here and there and the smell in the air that summer it played nearly every other song on the radio.  It reminds me of that time in life now whenever I hear it.  and a friend/crush invited me to his concert to which I got a firm no from my parents ("there's drugs at those concerts!") which probably added to the appeal ;) I was a junior in highschool I think.  I don't dwell on those years in my life much, there's a lot of painful memories and frustrating stuff but that's also when I became me.  Albeit, a simpler, more innocent, nicer, quieter version of me, but still. me. and this trip down memory lane was sponsored by 93.1 Jack FM which is nearly the only station I can get on the work radio...

Most people seem to decline as they grow more popular. I think the Dave Matthew Band came around when I was in high school, never listened to them much. It is weird how a song or style of music can invoke a memory, like nothing else can. So, who were you before you became you.
Yours for good health and plenty of wealth,
