Weekend Update
I had a great weekend!
1. I auditioned, as you know, for the national tour of Aida on Thursday....I got a callback!! I went to the callback on Saturday and I was one of about 15 girls called back, maybe less. That is probably the best callback I've ever gotten. Who knows if I'll get it, not a high chance. They have auditions in NYC this week and then they will get back to us, they video taped our auditions. But hey, I as cut in the first five minutes of the Lion King auditions so everything is a step in the right direction :) and as Melanie said "Stupid Stiletto!"
2. Friday I went out with Melanie, nothing fancy as we were both tired and I was preparing to leave for the audition EARLY saturday morning. It was nice to have girl time, I think we were both in need. We had a Mimi's date followed by Coldstone. And though I got the fat free sweet cream, I sure as hell got M&M's in it.
3. Saturday after the trek to LA I was tired so Brendon and I just hung out for a while, only leaving his apartment to get dinner at Bamboo Thai Bistro, I have had quite a weekend, my diet is all messed up now! But delicious Pad Thai! and then we watched "Everything is Illuminated", well, I fell asleep, but Brendon liked it.
4. Sunday, church with Mel and Brendon at the Shark Club was a new experience. It's different having church in a club with aquariums full of, you guessed it, sharks. And it was "Question and Answer" Sunday which is always emotionally charged.
5. Afterwards Brendon grilled tofu dogs for us by the pool. The first time he's tried out the grills at the apartment. It was so sunny and breezy. We finished off the night by watching "The Maltese Falcons" which I really enjoyed. Usually Bogart is a little much for me, I know, I know, where's my class. But I must have been in the right mood. And I tend to like early film noir. I like the suspense and artsy foreshadowing with out a lot of blood and violence.
6. To top it all off, I think Melanie and I giggled way past midnight until my stomach hurt and we had to sleep!
