The mysteries, tragedies...both are so many,
whether his life is short or is long.

a life, a death
a moment, a breath
I had no idea it was so short, even fragile

for when I see the man and his might
he seems so eternal like a rock or a tree
but the soul must be seperate
the body's in bondage while the soul can fly free

can than indelible a man leave his shadow
not on the pages or an account of his days
but in lives all around him? in places he's seen
when others emulate his cares and his ways?

a tear and a moment
when passing I give you
but can I remember you, can I pay tribute?
can I forgive you? can I relive
all of the moments and minutes and measures?
can I preserve you
