Updatey Matey!
Yes, I'm sorry it's been a long time since I wrote about what's going on, so here is the update:
1. Bartending school was fun and ended a while ago though I still have to go in to take my speed test and pick up my certificates (yes I'm lame, I just got super busy and then this week I got sick)
2. and in light of that I had an interview at a bar on the beach is calling me this upcoming week.
3. I moved into my aunts house two weekends ago
4. The Pirate Dinner Adventure rocks! Today I have a fight rehearsal and then a run through and hopefully they will start putting me in soon (though they have it scheduled after Dec.14th I'm going to try to convince them sooner)
5. I got the flu from the Pirates.
6. Which really sucked b/c I missed most of my last week of work at the office. Friday was my last day. It was so sweet, everyone there really is like my family. I was suprised at how many people came up to tell me they thought I was doing the right thing going at the less stable path but trying to be a performer. I truly am a very lucky girl. and after work I went home and jumped back in bed for another 6 hours...ugh.
7. I am on standby as a trade show model for a convention in Anaheim this week...I hope they call.
8. Melanie is helping direct the Christmas musical at Rock Harbor and I'm really excited to see it. Our church, though non-denom, has decided to study the celebration of Advent this year. Today is the first day of Advent. Melanie and I both grew up in traditional faiths (Mel-lutheran, Crista-Catholic) and we have always talked about how we miss Advent and Lent. So, I'm stoked to see it. It may sound silly but the things that measure time when your young really stick with you and the things that trigger your faith stay important. I can't get myself to stop crossing my forehead before I pray, it's a force of habit and because it's a habit it draws my mind into what I'm doing. Advent is like that, it sets my mind on Christmas. wow that coulda been a post all its own huh?
