Year End Review
All in all this has been a great year for me. That is not to say there aren't things I regret, or wish I'd done differently, or bad parts of the year. But on the whole it has been great and I am really happy presently. A few highlights...:
1. January - I start my first performance at the dinner theater "Brigadoon" and start my first year of continuous performing work, albeit mostly at the same dinner theater.
2. February - Brendon's birthday! His friends showed up at TGI Fridays to suprise him. We also celebrate our first Vday...Brendon was sick and I was in a show!
3. March- My mom visited a second time for Easter. I was costume mistress and dancer at Rock Harbors Easter Celebration...just about killed myself making costumes. Melanie's Birthday for which I do nothing :(
4. April - MELANIE AND I GO ON A CARIBBEAN CRUISE!!! Definitely a highlight of the year. It was so much fun :) I also got to step in and play "Winnie" in "Annie Get Your Gun" at the dinner theater, complete with my first song and dance duet with Johnny. So fun! Of course I am like 2 inches shorter than Jill and lets just say I don't fill out the costume in all the same areas as she did. I lived in fear that my cutlets would fall out on stage during our lifts...girls and a few men will know what I'm talking about.
5. May - I made a Knotts show and so I spend my days running from GLP to Knotts to the dinner theater for "Anything Goes". This lasts until September...yeee haw!
6. June - Still half crazed running around everywhere, spending time with Brendon...ect. Brendon and I start going to the beach some Sunday mornings for coffee. I think this is when Brendon bought his Powerbook? a world of fun! I don't remember the exact month but I remember going to microcenter and browsing for about an hour.
7. July - I turned 23! My Dad and Lori visited for my birthday and got to see the shows I was doing, first ones since Christmas show in college. Still with the crazy schedule.
8. August - Brendon and I celebrate one year dating anniversary. We went to PF Changs to remember our first official date and then we watched "March of the Penguins" at the theater (and we walked through Barnes and Nobel). Brendon suprised me with a beautiful white gold and sapphire neclace. On our first date August 25 2004, we went to the Spectrum to see a matinee of "Napolean Dynamite" after which we had PFChangs. Then Brendon had this idea so we went to Barnes and Noble and he selected "Where the Sidewalk Ends". On the down elevator I got impatient and threw my arms around his neck...ah, what we girls have to do! Back at my house he read me poetry in the gazebo. Then I had to go to work at Macaroni Grill....my how the times have changed. What a great memory though! Oh AND Delores calls me to tell me she is engaged!!! and I am the maid of honor! The wedding is January 14th!
9. September- Finally, shows wound down, I took a break from the dinner theater and went to a few auditions. I got to visit Delores in OKC for a whirlwind of wedding stuff! It was a blast. I even got to attend house church on Thursday, something I really missed when I graduated and moved to SoCal. I miss my house church family. Oh Melanie started Grad School!
10. October- I auditioned and made "It's a Wonderful Life" at the dinner theater. My sister flews into Inglewood to rehearse for her 2nd contract with Holland America and I got to visit with her! I still haven't posted my crazy pics with her, they're funny! My car was confirmed dead and gone :( Halloween I was at rehearsal all night but I caught a glimpse of Melanie's costume!! She was a fairy princess! Oh, Brendon moved to his first apartment by himself! Moving day was a lot of fun!
11. November- Still doing dinner theater...even on Thanksgiving! I had two shows and they made us a feast in between! I made The Lotus Dance company. April's car finally made it to California (I had been driving my boss's car).
12. December- I'm tired, busy, but happy. My little brother signed up for the army - now active duty not reserves and he'll leave for basic on the 27th. I did not audition for the next dinner theater show as I want to try new things...yeah, we've heard that before but with the dance company I want to try to take some classes and leave myself open for as many auditions as possible.
My main concerns now are figuring out my faith, relationship with Brendon and my close friends/family (Melanie, April..ect), dancing and auditioning as much as possible...and singing. Phew! It has been a great year. There are a few major things to work on...number one of course is my faith, number two HAS to be organization...of my time and my ahem-stuff. Number three is finances. There you go, top three things to work on.
So, as the new year gets closer I can shut the door on one of the most productive years of my adult life.

So much in this post, I may have to comment multiple times!
I really liked the birthday party you threw for me. I was so surprised and touched.
I also remember your brown dress on valentines day!
I'll have to remember some more.
Love,
me
