Review
Sorry I haven't updated since last week. Let me recap:
1. I did get to see my sister! although it was quite an endeavor (noone on her ship seemed to know exactly which port they were in), I drove back and forth between Long Beach Port and San Pedro...my first inclination being the right one ;) She was parked next to the Queen Mary. Once I got there (around 12pm) they had a huge immegration problem, everyone was supposed to have been off the ship around 10 or 11 but my sister finally emerged a little before 2pm. We ran thier neccessary errands and they had to get back on the ship at 4:30pm....and I got turned around and they nearly missed thier all aboard! Thank GOD they didn't, I had not only my sister but Ali and thier friend Terrelll (or T-bone)...all would have lost thier jobs and been stuck in LA. It was fun my sister and I miss each other a lot. She's like my missing limb, I can function without her but life sure is nicer when she's around.
2. by the way my hair rocks. It's deep red with a middle layer of black and then black and blond pieces. I'd say I'd post a picture, but I can't find my usb thingy for my camera. I still have pictures on it from Melanie's birthday that I'm dying to upload.
3. As far as jobs go, I didn't hear back from Aida :( but I got offered the Knotts job without audition this year :) but alas...I'm going to turn it down for a job I can't disclose just yet...let's just say, I'm awaiting my visa....;) I'll tell you all about it when I can.
4. The silk islands job will wait for me to get back from the above mentioned mystery job...and would like me to consider eventual full time work...performing, booking, and being dance captain. :) Now that's just cool. and I only met the owner once!
5. Brendon and I walked Peter's Canyon with Noah, a friend of mine through work, on Sunday morning. It was a perfect morning! A bit overcast and cool, with alternating forests of yellow flowers and tall grasses. Beautiful.
6. Sunday night Bren and I got to visit Chris and Ashley's house for sort of weekly game night. We played Super Munchkin!! Although, I couldn't tell you exactly how to play I think I was runner up...I think. Chris won (even after Ashley gave him an irreversable sex change card...) by a large margin...I think.
Okay, here's a funny highlight of the weekend.
Friday (cinco de mayo) Melanie and I went on a hike with her friend Jeff. After the hike we met up with his roommate to, celebrate the occasion with homemade tacos and margarita's and the Family Guy Movie...well, too bad we let Jeff make the margaritas! I fell asleep nearly after drinking it, Melanie was quite giggly and cuddly and poor Jeff thought Family Guy was REALLY FUNNY (and Jeff's roommate thought we were all nuts). Come to find out Jeff used half a bottle of tequila for 4! Melanie and I are lightweights. I don't drink much at all but sometimes on the weekends I like to add whiskey to my diet coke or have a glass of wine. I don't have much experience with tequila.
