Konnichiwa
I don't know how to spell it. I know extremely little Japanese but somehow, things are working out. I'm here, safe, thanks for all the well wishes! It's been quite a hectic few days. Nothing is in order - costumes, music, choreography. There was a little "misunderstanding" (i.e. I was lied to) with Cheryl who promised no topless no thongs no nothing like that, all on the up and up. We approved our costumes. However, none of them are what we approved. And the finale costume was a headress, bra and thong. Fortunately Amy and I said "we won't dance if that is the costume" so they took us to get a costume we would wear. Sheesh. and all the measurements on the all the costumes are wrong. And we weren't allowed to sleep two days in a row. But now, the costumes are okay (other than the plastic diapers that are "supposed" to be hotpants...they feel like diapers though), the show has been rehearsed and our internet was approved. It should be cake from here on out if the show goes well tomorrow!
We have been spoiled too. Our apartments are really cool with everything we need already inside. We have been treated to our first authentic sushi bar AND an expensive Japanese meal where you are served plates of raw meat that you cook piece at a time on a barbeque in the middle of the table! Everyone we work with or meet on the street is very nice to us. Nearly noone knows english and us performers don't really know Japanese! But it's cool, we are learning :) Here are a few pictures. I have barely been out and about though as we've been super busy so next week I'll hopefully have more landscape pictures. We hope to go see the nearby castle, possibly climb Mt. Fuji and definitely visit the hot springs (no pictures of that though ;)
ps. I do miss my boyfriend though. Everything that happens or I see I want to tell him or share it with him and he's not here. Things are a lot more fun with you to share them Bren.

So glad to here you got there safe. What a relief. And good for you standing up for yourself with the costumes! Do you have a mail address in Japan for the next few months?
Sounds like it will be a good experience for you. Way to keep your integrity and clothes on.
My picture commentary, in order
1) You are the cutest
2) A young rod stewart, I take it?
3) Yeah! I guessed this before reading the caption. Too cool!
4) Hot hot hot! I'm guessing dude on right is the Lennon?
Bravo standing up on the costumes, too!
So glad you made it there in one piece and are settling in. I must also add my kudos to you for making them stick to the agreed upon costumes! Go, you!
My cousin just visited Japan and he had a great time. He went to the big, ancient castle and brought back all kinds of pictures. Really an amazing place. I hope you get to see the sights and enjoy this amazing experience. :)
Hey Beautiful... long email to come I promise. I'm glad things are good, take pics of your apartment too!
