Being a grown up...

I laughed at my shopping cart this morning, oh how things have changed in the last 5 years!

The contents:

- A swiffer starter kit (I'm tired of using the swiffer pads on my hands and knees to clean my floors and climbing on chairs and the sofa to clean the walls and ceiling. fyi, I clean the ceiling)

- Tilex Fresh Shower (I have beautiful tile in my bathroom!)

- Organic black tea to replace my morning coffee

- cards...not for birthdays or holidays, but three cards to say hello to the important women in my family

- a new toothbrush. The one I have been using was my auxiliary toothbrush from when I lived with Casey. when I moved to Redondo I started using it as my main home toothbrush. I always keep one at Pirates and one in my backpack because I end up using it at the gym or spending the night at friends houses. It occured to me this morning that my home toothbrush wasn't really bristly enough to do the job anymore. Sign of growing up, I know I have to replace my toothbrush on a regular basis, not just when I lose one in transit or stop dating someone.

- a tendonitis band for my forearm. ugh. Whats next...a cane? a bedpan?

Things I don't get at the drug store now that I am an ADULT:

tic tacs en mass.
Make up, I buy that elsewhere (okay, so often elsewhere is Target, but sometimes its Sephora or Planet Beauty...I haven't gotten old or rich enough to only buy my make up at Macy's)
Protein bars... I am trying to eat more natural foods
Movies, candy, hair items, seasonal things on display

I'm getting older. I did buy movies on my birthday at the grocery store along with a bottle of Southern Comfort (courtesy of Melanie). But that was an extenuating circumstance :)
