So the marinara sauce.... a few things:
1. I'm outta practice so I was a little nervous
2. I didn't wait until the onions were fully carmelized before putting in the other ingredients... ditto with the garlic. I was impatient to get it simmering I guess
3. It turned out alright. The boyfriend (whom I was cooking it for anyway... he's running the Baker to Vegas relay with his coast guard peeps this weekend and wanted to carb load) added some wine and veggie boullion. Not my preference with the boullion but it did turn out alright. Now I know what I missed for next time... muahahaha
