A few things...
Marz has asked me for my address a few times. I am pretty lame at responding to friends emails sometimes. Sorry Marz, you sent me the nicest birthday card I got and I wanted to thank you. And here is my address for whoever wants it, possibly my parents if they read this:

I'm not sure how international mail works, but that's the address I'm staying at. I looked up the city on Wikipedia and guess what...Shizouka Prefecture (where my city is located) gets a horrendous earthquake every 100 - 150 years...and it's been 146 since the last one. Comforting eh? (hopefully mom and pop are reading at this point ;)

Ah, that's right, you're not a native Californian. You only have to remember two things in an earthquake - duck and cover. It means get down and under something. And getting in a doorway - myth. Not the best place to be. If you have no table to get under - BTW hold onto a table leg so it doesn't dance away from over you - get yourself against a wall away from windows and use one hand to cover the nap of your neck. That protects the brain stem and spinal cord.
But I don't believe you will need any of that info! I can't wait to read further updates about your adventures overseas. Thanks for the address, that means I need to get myself to a mailbox stat!
