Typhoon!

We weathered typhoon Maria! We are so cool! We'll we freaked out a little...just the word is scary. But it just resulted in lots of rain and 68 mile per hour winds!! I love a good thunderstorm so I enjoyed the weather quite a bit. And I got some good landscape pics this morning after the rain.

btw, anyone checking out my pics...just a word of warning - if you don't know me really well, I'm super goofy. Especially in a dressing room..with a camera...and a boa. Please don't be offended by anything or afraid for my sanity or salvation. I'm just a bit silly. and you have to admit, I had recital costumes better than the conglomeration of beads and feathers I've been dressed in for this gig. This job has been a comedy of errors. It's too much to explain so I don't but let me tell you, last night a man walked on stage while we were dancing to hand us tips one at a time. stopped our dances. I looked at amy and she looked back at me and in that moment I knew what a stripper felt like. I think. Or at least I felt like I was being treated like a stripper. One woman during Rod Stewarts number yelled "me so horny". It'll be laughable, really it will be. But one thing after another has happened and all I can do is have a bit of fun with it all. I am having fun. But I might be coming home a bit early too. Hopefully not before I hit Tokyo, Osaka and Mt. Fuji though!

Glad to hear you 'weathered' the typhoon. Sorry to hear that you are having creepy experiences while performing.

Love the photo album. BTW - that may be a swastika you saw on the shrine. Before world war II, it was not an evil symbol. It is originally a Norse symbol basically meaning sun. It is a powerful symbol is Norse mythology, so that is probably why Hitler chose it.

Sorry - off my soap box. It's nice to follow your adventures. Thank you for sharing.
