Belly up to the
....bar. I am going to be a bartender!! I enrolled and by November 3rd (assuming I pass) I'll have a diploma to hang on the wall stating I'm nationally certified! I start class on Monday, I have my book in front of me and flash cards and a big glass of water. I'm really excited. The instructor is Alex from the bronx and he (well the company National Bartending) will find me a job in a nice bar in New York City in January (not a favor, but because they have purposeful connections all over the country and in Italy!...do I see bartending in Venice in my future...).
So here I go, my first purposeful step towards working my way out of the office and into a life conducive to dancing and to my left brained personality (like Starbucks for more money). and All before we start rehearsals the first weekend in November.
An update on my Dad, he's doing super well. From incapacitated over the weekend to fully functioning. His different eating plan has him feeling better than ever, his spirits are up. We're just waiting on the test results on his pancrease measuring the damage and then he has an eye appointment to see if they were damaged. If all goes well, he will be diagnosed with the managable Type II Diabetes. We're praying that it's Type II only. I'll keep you posted... :)

Hey Crista
I came over here from Stronger's Site.....Your dad....did he have a TIA? Sounds familiar to my Dad. I hope it's only Type 2 and that he manages it. My Dad didn't...
Andy
Fingers crossed for dad. I hope there was no damage and that they can manage it. It's no fun worrying about a diabetic father. If you ever want to vent...
And kudos for bartendng school. I will so come visit you and test your craft if you end up bartending in Venice. Mmm, my favorite city in Italy ...er, of the four cities I went to.
