I entered one of my poems in a contest. I've never tried but hey, what can I lose? I can gain publication. and a start :) So I find out February 15th. I'm not holding my breath, I'll let the "Universe" do that!
So...and, it may be bs as sometimes comes out of his mouth, but my boss told me yesterday that I will become official contract Gypsy in March!! That means, finally, contract pay (needless to say, more than I make now), guaranteed 8 shows/ week and HEALTH INSURANCE! I feel a little old just thinking about how those two words make me tingle! That means that I will be a full time professional aerialist with health insurance. I will be mini Becky. HOORAY!!
I still don't have a second job, I'm lame.
I have a friend taking a painful break from her partner. Bulemia is tearing them apart. Well its killing one and the other doesn't know if she can live with it. D and I now have a constant stream of communication throughout the day (thanks mostly to the fact that my Dad put me on his Verizon plan so D and I have free mobile to mobile and text).
And this is the beginning of the second month of the year and I know...this is a good year. I am excited about February! and Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays, even when single! Don't tell anyone as it would ruin my anti-girly reputation but something about hearts and red everywhere and little cupids and flowers makes me insanely giddy!
Oh, one last thing - I am reading (simultaneously with "The Alchamist"- "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I reccommend it. More on that later.

Katie just told me to read Eat Pray Love... hmm... perhaps I'll take her up on her offer ...
I'm so proud of you for entering your poem!!! GOOD JOB! They are just too good to not share with the world! and Yeah for Health Insurance!!
