On a different note...

I've decided I love June Gloom!! This overcast weather makes me happy, I don't know why. I think it is because it is dramatic maybe? Smelling a hint of rain makes me tingle from head to toe. I have always loved the rain, storms, hail, snow...I like weather really. Today the smell and the look of the sky bring back memories of growing up in Ohio. Summers were riddled with thunder storms. My brother's and sister and I were on a swim and dive team for the majority of our youth and so summers were spent all day at the pool. Nothing was more exciting then swim meets, especially when they were threatened by lightening. All races would cease until the danger was gone and everyone would cram under the miniscule coverings and shelters. The kids would be dripping wet, tanned and full of energy...partially from our adrenalin, partially from the suger we had been consuming all evening (fun dips and starbursts were our favorites!) aaahhhh, I am missing my family a bit, brothers, sister, Mom and Dad...I even feel a painful longing to pet our late family dog Brittany.

Yet I am so excited and I don't mind sharing. I am making new traditions, new memories here with my family here, Melanie, Brendon and all our friends. I am so excited that my summer will be spent with Brendon, our memories, our sunfilled days, and warm nights.

June gloom? Bring it on!
